Stemmed from the practice of singing before Meher Baba,"Hey Paratpara - Ek Geetyatra" is another Book in the ways of that Expression.

Pratap Ahir, who was drawn in Beloved Baba’s orbit as a young lad in 1949, had been a critical member of the Poona Bhajan Mandali which enthralled Baba on several occasions with its musical performance.Since then, Pratap has been writing, composing, and singing Baba songs to entertain Baba while He was in Body and after dropping His Body, that have been enjoyed by thousands of lovers all over. Later, he was joined by his sons Prashant and Mehernandan in this mission of love. Baba lovers across India, sing these Hindi and Marathi compositions during Baba gatherings.

Over 200 songs penned by the authors and still counting..depending upon purpose,mood,situation,stage,context and backdrop.

प्रताप अहीर, जो 1949 में एक युवा के रूप में प्रियतम बाबाकी प्रेमकक्षा में खींचें गए थे, पूना भजन मंडली के एक महत्वपूर्ण सदस्य थे । इस समूहने अपने गीतगायन के जरिये कई मौकों पर मेहेरबाबा को आनंदित किया था। तब से, प्रताप, बाबा जब देहमें थे और बाबा के देहत्याग के बाद, बाबा के मनोरंजन के लिए गीतों को लिखते, संवारते और गाते रहे हैं, जिसका आनंद
हजारों प्रेमियों ने उठाया है। बाद में, उनके पुत्र प्रशांत और मेहेरनंदन भी मेहेरप्रेम के इस अभियान में शामील हो गए। आज भारतभर के बाबा प्रेमी, बाबा कार्यक्रमोंके दौरान इन हिंदी और मराठी रचनाओं को गाते हैं। 

“हे परात्परा - एक गीतयात्रा” इन तीनों द्वारा हिंदी और मराठी में लिखे गए 200 से अधिक बाबा गीतों का संकलन है। यह किताब हमें प्रताप, प्रशांत और मेहेरनंदनकी संगीतमय यात्रा पर ले जाती है, जो उनके मेहरबाबा के प्रति प्यार और लगन की कथा है।
